Privacy Policy — Posita

Posita has no server. Your reference photos, the shots you take with the app, your albums and your favorites are kept on this iPhone and are never sent to us. There is no account, no upload and no AI looking at your photos — the app shows your reference over the camera so you can line up the shot yourself.

This policy covers what the app stores on the device, the few things that do leave it, and how to erase all of it.

• No account. Nothing to sign into, nobody to be.
• Every photo the app keeps — references and recreations — stays in the app's storage on this iPhone.
• No AI, no face detection, no photo processing on any server. We never upload your photos.
• No ads, no data sold, no tracking across other apps.
• Delete a photo or an album in the app and it is gone; delete the app and everything goes with it.

All of it. The app keeps the following on this iPhone and nowhere else:

• Reference photos you save — picked from your Photos library, taken with the camera, downloaded from a link you pasted, or received through the iOS share sheet
• Recreations — the shots you take in the app with a reference over the viewfinder
• Your albums, your favorites and the link between each recreation and its reference
• App settings, today's recreation count on the free plan, and where you are in onboarding

This is kept in a database and in the app's own file storage on the device. The Home Screen widget and the share extension read and write the same data through a storage area shared with the app (an iOS app group). That area sits on the same device and is not readable by other apps. Shots you choose to save to your Photos library become ordinary photos there, under your control.

Three things, and none of them contain your photos:

• Purchases. If you subscribe to Posita Pro, RevenueCat manages the subscription against a random identifier generated on your device and held in the iOS Keychain, together with the purchase receipt it receives from Apple. Apple handles the payment itself — Posita never sees your card or your Apple ID.
• Anonymous usage counts. Aptabase, which we host ourselves, receives event counts such as “onboarding completed”, along with app version, OS version and country, keyed to a random install identifier. No photos, no text you enter, no advertising identifier and no cross-app tracking.
• Images you fetch from a link. When you paste or share a link, your iPhone contacts that website directly to find and download the image — for a post link, through the site's public preview page — the way a browser would. That site sees the request; we do not sit in between and never see the link or the image.

If you write to us from Settings → Contact Us, the email draft includes the random identifier mentioned above so we can look up a purchase if you ask us to. Everything else in that email is yours to write or delete.

Posita asks for three permissions, each only when you first need it:

• Camera — to take the shot with the reference shown over the viewfinder.
• Photos, reading — to pick a reference from your library.
• Photos, adding — to save a recreation to your library, if you choose to.

Each one can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Without camera access you can still keep and browse references; without photo library access you can still add references from the camera, a link or the share sheet.

Delete a reference, a recreation or a whole album inside the app, and it is erased from the device. It cannot be undone, because there is no copy anywhere else.

Deleting the app removes everything it stored — every photo, album and favorite, your settings, and the data shared with the widget and the share extension. Shots you saved to your Photos library are ordinary photos there and stay until you delete them in Photos. The anonymous usage counts hold nothing that identifies you or your device, so there is nothing there to delete. To cancel a subscription, use Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Posita is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app has no account and no server, so there is no personal information for us to collect in the first place.

If the app's data practices change, this page changes with them and the date above is updated. If a future version ever sends more than what is listed here, it will say so before it does.
