The short version
nocnt has no server. Your days, your reasons and everything you write are kept on this iPhone and are never sent to us. There is nothing for us to look at, because we never receive it.
This policy covers what the app stores on the device, the few things that do leave it, and how to erase all of it in one tap.
In short
- No account. Nothing to sign into, nobody to be.
- Everything you log stays in a database on this iPhone.
- No ads, no data sold, no tracking across other apps.
- Settings → Reset data erases everything the app has stored.
What stays on your device
All of it. The app keeps the following on this iPhone and nowhere else:
- The date of your last contact, and the start and end dates of earlier attempts
- What you logged each day — a held urge, a lurk, a burned message or a reset — with the time and which option you chose
- Milestones you reached, and when
- Why I stopped — the reasons you write for yourself
- Your answers in the two first-week checklists
- App settings: the milestone notification switch and where you are in onboarding
The counter and the year grid are also copied into a storage area shared with the widget, so the Lock Screen and Home Screen can draw them without opening the app. That area sits on the same device and is not readable by other apps. Milestone notifications are scheduled locally from your start date — the app has no push server and never registers a push token.
What leaves your device
Three things, and none of them contain what you log:
- Purchases. If you subscribe, RevenueCat manages the subscription against a random identifier generated on your device and held in the iOS Keychain. Apple handles the payment itself — nocnt never sees your card or your Apple ID.
- Anonymous usage counts. Aptabase receives aggregate signals such as app opens, app version, OS version and country. There is no account, no advertising identifier and no cross-app tracking, and none of your days, reasons or entries are included.
- Anything you deliberately share. If you tap share, the app draws an image on the device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes is your choice, and you can cancel.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app and tap Reset data. That erases your current and past attempts, every day you logged, your milestones, your reasons and your checklist answers, cancels any scheduled milestone notifications, and returns the app to day one.
It cannot be undone, because there is no copy anywhere else. Deleting the app removes the rest with it, including the widget data and your settings. The anonymous usage counts hold nothing that identifies you or your device, so there is nothing there to delete. To cancel a subscription, use Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Children
nocnt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app has no account and no server, so there is no personal information for us to collect in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this page changes with them and the date above is updated. If a future version ever sends more than what is listed here, it will say so before it does.
